The YJIL Thirty-Fifth Anniversary Conference on "Government Lawyering and International Law" will take place on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Yale Law School. The one-day conference will bring together scholars and practitioners from around the world to discuss the unique responsibilities and challenges associated with government lawyers creating, interpreting, and abiding by international law.
The conference will begin at 10:30am with a keynote address by U.S. State Department Legal Adviser Harold Hongju Koh. Among the other participants are the former foreign ministry Legal Advisers of the United States, Denmark, and the United Kingdom; the Chief Counsel of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee; the General Counsel of the U.S. Trade Representative; lawyers who have represented sovereigns in international litigation and arbitration; and many more.
